On Friday 28th November 2014 a relay team will start pedalling the 874 miles to travel from Lands End to John O’ Groats. We will be doing this in the comfort of our office on “turbo trainers”. Over the weekend the relay teams will cycle day and night. We estimate that we should finish at 09:00 on Monday morning.
Our family and friends will be on hand to cheer us on and as the event will be broadcast live via this website, will be able to watch us from wherever they are in the world.
We are doing this to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust. We have set a goal of £5000 and whatever amount we raise will be matched £ for £ by Policy Services Limited.
Update Monday 1st December 2014 We’ve Made It…. There and Back
We’ve made it and what a journey it was. We very quickly realised that we were achieving a far higher average speed than expected and actually reached John O’Groats at midnight on Saturday night. We then turned around and made the return journey to Lands End aiming to complete the 1748 mile journey by 9.00 am on Monday morning. We made it just in time and, as you can see, most of the team were present to cheer Kirsty across the line.
